What is the Independence Seal and why is it important?
The Independent Brewers Association’s (IBA) Independence Seal helps Australian owned independent breweries distinguish themselves from those owned by larger, multinational beer companies. It also helps the growing number of Australian beer fans looking to support independent breweries easily identify beers from those breweries.
Eligible breweries display the seal on their packaging and supporting venues and retailers around the country help customers clearly identify independent beer on tap and on the shelf.
While our passion is infinite, our resources are not so we rely on supporters of independent breweries to look for the seal and always Ask For Indie Beer at their local pub, restaurant, bar and bottle shop to encourage them to stock independent Australian beers.
Remember, there is strength in numbers, and the movement is growing.
